Drive arrangement for industrial plant protection device - limits torque and provides audible and optical signals of overload

The drive consists of three parts, an electric motor with speed reduction gear, an electrical switching system and a position indicator. The speed reduction gear has an outer wheel with internal teeth meshing with the planet gears and external teeth meshing with a gear wheel attached to a shaft of a dynamometer which can slip when overloaded, so protecting the electric motor. At the same time, the slipping motion switches on an audible warning and a warning light. The switching system has a number of cams driven by a double reduction worm gear. These cams operate microswitches which operate warning lights in the position indicator.
