Alarm activated by pressure change - raises signal when air, pumped through flexible tube, meets increased resistance

An alarm signal is given when a mechanical pressure value is exceeded. A modified, yet otherwise customary swinging lever pump fills a flexible hollow tube with a flow of air. When the air flow encounters a resistance greater than a predetermined value an alarm is raised. The swinging lever can be arranged to mechanically operate an alarm bell or it can complete an electrical contact. An application of the invention would be a placement of the tube on a balcony bar in order to give an alarm when a baby or small child came into contact with the latter, so preventing a dangerous situation arising.
