Pneumatic buffer chamber for magnetic tape - has shallow slot in wall to reduce tape oscillation by controlled air flow

The device is for reduction of the oscillations of the magnetic tape in the pneumatic buffer chamber of a magnetic tape equipment, in which in one of the walls of the chamber which is contacted by the edge of the tape there is a flat groove for the defined passage of auxiliary air. The result is to reduce in amplitude and frequency the oscillations of the tape due to the tolerances between tape and chamber widths.
