Direct injection of gaseous samples into gas chromatographs - from aerosol cans without pre-cooling to liquefy contents

Samples of the contents of aerosol cans are injected directly from the can into the carrier gas entering the chromatograph as the injector needle passes between two packings in a specially design inlet connection to the chromatograph column. The can need not be cooled to liquefy the contents. The loss of volatile components is eliminated. Gases with very low condensn. temps. can be analysed. Greater accuracy is obtd.
