Number teaching aid and toy - uses linked numbered cubes to represent numbers and quantities

The teaching aid comprises a series of cubes linked together in a line and individually numbered, e.g. from 1 to 100. Each cube is pref. notched on both sides to form a central bar which can be connected to the cubes on each side by resilient rings or rods. The advantage of the aid is claimed to be the simultaneous representation of physical quantity and abstract number, whereby basic arithmetic is also brought to life in tangible form. The flexible links between the cubes permit the numbers to be arranged in various matrix arrangements.
