Crane crab with guide mast - has mast extending round gantry at sides partly enclosing it

The crab travels along a crane gantry, and has fixed to it a guide mast extending roughly to floor level, being particularly for use in a shelf loading system. The mast when seen in the crab travel direction is built round the gantry at the sides, so that the latter is at least partly enclosed by it. The portio of the mast fitting round the gantry can be of continuous sheet metal, with a flange round the edge of the recess enclosing the gantry. The design is such that the guide mast itself is of compact design and the dimensions of the frame of the crab are kept as small as possible.
