Motor car assembly installation with assembly being carried out with a centre section to which front and rear axles are attached and to which the engine is fitted and of two end sections. An assembly band is fitted with a holding device capable of swivelling the centre sections around horizontal axis, with prefabricated aggregates and construction units for individual parts having side bearings or auxiliary installations which provide conveyance across the direction of movement of the main assembly band. Preferably the system is provided with an automatically controlled drive for the swivel motion.
