Vehicle headlamp load sensitive inclination adjustment - incorporates in the lamp a number of incandescent filaments for producing beams of different inclinations

The system incorporates level sensors connected to the headlights unit, which itself remains stationary and the beam inclination is caused by different fixed incandescent filaments and reflectors. This eliminates faults in the mechanical headlight unit adjusting system. The filaments in the lamp assembly can be arranged in series in the direction of the vehicle longitudinal axis or at 90 deg. to it. The reflector may be a special shape or additional reflectors used. The system may incorporate level sensor which consist of adjustable potentiometers at the front and rear of the vehicle. The difference of the potentiometer output is used to actuate the switching circuit which in turn actuates the switch for the incandescent filaments.
