Treatment of waste water from paint spray booths - with recycling of recovered water, using ultra-filtration

Air extracted from paint spray booths is washed with water to remove paint particles. The resulting water/paint mixture passes to an ultrafiltration system which separates part of the water and enables it to be returned to the spray booth washing system. The conc. water/paint mixture is recycled through a collection tank with a cooling coil and on reaching a max. permissible concentration is pumped out for disposal. Method reduces spray booth water requirements. Little or no additive chemical are required for the separation.
