Two voltages of twice and frequency, whose phases differ by 90 deg., can be collected at the circuit output. The first channel contains a multiplier, and the second two summators followed by a multiplier stage. The error portion of each calculating operation is split equally between both channels. The signal potentials delivered by a piece of apparatus are conducted to the inputs of the summation stages, and added or subtracted before reaching the multiplier stage. Most similar frequency multipliers have more stages, e.g. two multiplier stages in the second channel, causing a further error portion. The error of a summator amplier is noticeably smaller than that of a four quadrant multiplier.
