Walking stick which is used as a walking aid and support for disabled patients consists of an outer tube housing an inner tube with handle which can be easily removed for separate use. When only one stick is required the inner tube is quickly replaced and secured inside the outer tube, and the unit serves as a single walking stick. Pref. the outer tube has a spring in its base which pushes the inner tube upwards when releasing a catch, and which keeps the inner tube in place and prevents it from rattling around inside the outer tube.
