Tubeless tyre for flat wheel rim - with overlapping sidewalls and extra securing hoops either side of bolted centre flange

The wheel rim has a simple, flat profile for easy, economic manufacture while the tyre has a simple sidewall on one side, with a simple fitting rim and a long sidewall on the other side which extends to lie flat across the wheel rim, with its fitting rim overlapping the fitting rim of the shorter sidewall. The second fitting rim is thus secured on the inside of the shorter sidewall, with its diameter the same as the fitting rim of the shorter wall. A second fitting rim is provided in the longer wall, to rest against the other side of the wheel rim while the tyre is prevented from sliding laterally off the rim by removable segmented inserts which form a securing ridge. The tyre can be easily fitted and is safer if punctured at speed.
