The maximum operating condition of a machine or process can often be described by the state of various temperature sensors. A reference input unit is used to select a specific output stage, e.g. power level. Each temperature sensor output is converted and is fed to a signal generator. The signal generator outputs are coupled to a selector circuit that is regulated by a reference input. Once a particular operating condition is fixed the reference input together with the reference input selector permits the required temperature sensor levels to be set for various machine functions.
