Pulsating deuterium-lithium nuclear power station - using block of lithium deuteride-tritide with molten core to contain plasma

A pulsating nuclear reactor for the prodn. of useful electric energy generates heat by burning D and Li to He. The nuclear reaction plasma is produced by rapid discharge of a concentric plate condenser along a conductivity path, preformed thermally, through molten 6LiD1-xTx (in which 0 x 1). The prim. neutrons formed by fusion in the resultant high temp., high pressure channel act as starting point of fission-fusion reaction chains, which are enclosed by the surrounding liquid walls, in which only T is produced and is then bound chemically. The shock waves, radiation and heat of reaction are absorbed by the liquid, which acts as heat transfer medium to the connected turbo-generator power station and also, where it is solidified, acts as solid contg. wall and heat buffer. The reactor is simple, cannot explode and produces no radioactive waste. Fuel supplies are plentiful.
