Fuel pre-heating system for I.C. engines and oil fired central heating - fuel is fed through the secondary part of heat exchanger in wwater circuit
Improved working efficiency is claimed by first preheating the fuel before mixing with the combustion air. This is achieved without danger of explosion and with a minimum of constructional expense by building a heat exchange unit into the hot water circuit, which in the case of an internal combustion engine, consists of a brass tube connecting the radiator heater pipes to the engines water jacket. A copper tube, forming part of the fuel supply pipe from supply tank to carburettor, is wound round the brass tube so that a heat transfer takes place as the engine reches working temperature.
