Passenger and goods container transportation system - has track sections energised with synchronous AC fields for linear motor propulsion

The sections of the track are energised with continuous, synchronous A/C fields, which move linearly at the speed at which the containers are to be transported. The fields are induced by stators along the track. The containers are moved suspended on these fields with the aid of rotor- and magnet windings on their lower sides. Revolving loading units for the containers move synchronously with the electric field of the stator windings. In the stations, which connect the track sections, the loading units are supported and driven by the stator field via supports on the units, carrying rotor windings and magnet windings.
