Sheathing concrete wall wood-fibre panel formwork - withspacers incorporating two wire loops each embracing panel and edge timber

Closed spacers are fitted, at an interval from the main ceiling, with two wire loops pointing upwards determining the spacing of the form panels, and extending far enough outwards for each to fit closely round a panel and an edge timber. Spacers with wire loops pointing upwards and downwards are then laid on top of the panels, and a longer edge timber is inserted in the superimposed spacer ends from above. After the bottom form unit has been filled with concrete and this has set in the spaces between the edge timbers and the upward pointing loops, the process is repeated with a second row of form panels inserted, and concrete is cast into the intervening space formed by the panels. The process is continued up to ceiling height. Very smooth concrete walls can be erected.
