High power DC distribution system for tall buildings - has vertical line-ducts connected to junction boxes on each floor

The high-power d.c. distribution system, for tall buildings, has line-duct passing vertically up through the building and linking with junction boxes on each floor. Sections of conductor inside this line duct form a single component with the individual junction boxes. These single components are connected floor-to-floor. The conductor sections are mounted inside each floor's junction box. Each junction box consists of a base element and another removable element that fits onto it. The removable element remains removable, the conductor sections being fixed to the base element. The conductors lie in channels in the sides of the junction boxes.
