The system is for use in the erection of multi storey buildings assembled from elements comprising prefabricated concrete components., esp. providing reduced sensitivity to column sinking. Mutual displacement of the storey floor-ceilings in the direction of the horizontal longitudinal axis of the beams is additionally prevented in the frame structure by means of rigid connection of the beams with the multi-floor columns, with the beams acting as frame bolts and the columns as frame posts of a multi-storey frame. Frame post and column may form two separate structural components, with the latter only accommodating the vertical loads from the beams placed on them, and the former only the bending moments of the frame: these may be in the form of twin halves with the beams, or beam halves, running between them.
