The press is for continuously coating a thin paper plate path with foil, with a heated press roller, against whose surface, by means of a belt, the thin plate track to be coated andand a themoplatic foil are pressed together with a further foil of non-thermoplastic material. The latter serves decorative purposes, on the sides of the foil away from the plate track, where the blet is under tension and partly encloses the pressing roller which attains a temperature at which the material is plastic. A further similar press is fitted after the first to continuously supply the think track on both sides and its pressing rollers forms an angle of less than 180 deg. with the roller, of the first press, such that the one-side coated track coming out of the first press after turning in a free arc runs into the second press with the uncoated side facing the heated roller of the second press.
