Aerial embedded inglass pane for motor vehicle receiver - has two passive-elements with high mutual coupling factor for UHF and long medium and short wave

The aerial is embedded in a pane of glass for use with a motor vehicle receiver. The output energy of the aerial derived from the UHF band feeds into one branch of the signal amplifier and the energy derived from the long, medium and shortwave bands feeds into another branch of the amplifier. There are separate passive aerial elements for each range. These are arranged such that the mutual coupling of the two elements is very great. When the amplifier branch for the UHF range is loaded, the energy derived from the branch handling the other bands is negligible. The long, medium and shortwave branch of the amplifier uses a field effect transistor. The UHF branch has a transformer tuned to eliminate the noise.
