Several cascaded series-resonant circuits are stagger-tuned in their resonant range, so that the resulting filter curve shows the required bandwidth. Known combinations of series and parallel-resonant circuits are used for the filter. The width of the filter curve at otherwise identical attenuation behaviour with respect to the measurement signal spectrum is changed. Therefore, the disadvantages of the attenuation constant of the fundamental wave from the variation of the motor speed of the measuring machine are prevented. The frequency increment of the resonant range of several filters is known as stagger-tuned filter.
