Detonating gas engine using a combustion chamber closable by valves and in which a hydrogen oxygen mixture is burnt and exploded as in 1801106. The hydrogen is separated from the oxygen from the steam mixture created after the explosion using solely temperature and pressure, with the steam mixture consisting of the combustion residual steam and the added new supply stem with the separation taking place during steam conditions without any chemical connection of the oxygen to other chemical elements or materials. Subsequently the hydrogen is re-circulated to the combustion chamber.
