Photo-polymerisable radiation-sensitive resin compsn. (A) contains a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer (I), 10-60 wt. % (w.r.t. (I)) ethylenically unsatd. monomer (II), contg. =2 ethylenic bonds and which is photo-polymerisable with (I), and 1-10 wt. % (w.r.t. (I) + (II)) photo-polymsn. initiator. Compsn. pref. also contains 0.01-2 wt. % thermopolymsn. inhibitor and 1-50 pts. wt./100 pts. wt. compsn. of a colour pigment. (A) is pref. used in a radiation-sensitive material consisting of a substrate, adherent layer(s) contg. (A), an opt. colour pigment layer and a protective layer contg. a water-sol. polymer or an alkali-sol. polymer. Used on identity and credit cards, etc., bearing a photographically reproducible image. (A) can be free from solvents which damage substrate and can be dissolved in water or dilute alkali solns. Addn. of (II) within given proportions improves flexibility of (I), giving a hard, flexible film after exposure.
