The buoyancy section of the buoy, has a displacement vol. of about half the complete buoy displacement vol. The section is flat, so that the complete normal depth of immersion of the buoy, is not larger than the approx. value of its largest horizontal dia. which coincides roughly with the cross sectional diameter at the normal water line. The displacement section of the buoy is completely below the water line, rigidly connected to the buoyancy section, and consists of long bodies with horizontal longitudinal axis, positioned sidewards from its centre of gravity. A corresponding high position of the total centre of gravity causes the static bias return momentum during keeling-over to be only as large, as is necessary due to the wind- and flow resistance.
