Prefabricated stair unit - has support units at ends of straight cheeks forming arc adjoining longitudinal edges at ends

The upper floor is provided with level vertical fitting points and the lower floor with level horizontal ones into which are fitted two straight cheeks. Support units are provided at the ends of the cheeks which form a convex arc in cross section meeting at its ends each of the longitudinal edges or a transition part. These are attached to the relevant longitudinal edge. The step fitments have holes for fastening together by screws. The design is of low cost and the components are easily erected into place. The steps themselves together with the cheeks can be made of other materials besides wood, such as plastics. Other components can be made of galvanised steel.
