Fertilizer comprising (a) a mixture of animal and vegetable organic matter (b) biological matter (c) trace elements from sea-water, (d) products rich in amino-acids, phosphate, Ca, Mg, K, Na, organic nitrogen, organic silica and S, in proportions suitable for particular soils, to improve plant growth and the development of a microbial flora. Preferred components are crude common salt from sea-water, S, diatomaceous matter and brown sea-weed.
