Preventing storage instability of hygroscopic - solids - addition of fatty acid metal salts

The handling properties of hygroscopic solids is improved by addition of 2 - 30% of a powdered Ca, Mg, Zn or al salt of a C12-C20 fatty acid. The process is useful for food additives, medicaments, and industrial chemicals. The salt is pref. of a particle size below 0.074 mm. and the process is effected simply by mixing the two components together.
