The dispersions comprise the powdered polish (typically Al2O3, SiO2, Cl oxide, or glass or their mixts.) dispersed in liq. (pref. water) and a minor amt. (pref. is not 5 wt.% w.r.t. polish) of polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, pref. having a particle size of is approx. 0.1 mm which is larger than that of the polish.
