Composition of text or design - uses pre designed elements using mechanical device for composition with recorded data

A cassette is used containing one form only of superposed elements such as symbols, signs, letters or figures which are released from the cassette when it comes into contact with a support. The cassette is market with coded data concerning the particular element that the cassette contains. This data is used to programme the distance between elements when mechanical composition of the text is to be carried out. Each element has a self adhesive face which holds it on the support. Cassetts are placed side by side in a loader which is connected to a device for placing the cassette elements on a support. A mechanism obtains the required information for spacing of the elements on the support.
