Automatic arrangement of slides in slide holder - permits easy loading of holder with slides

A device for automatic loading of slides into a slide holder, has a trigger device which engages the slides one by one in the slots of the holder, without having to manipulate them and without them having any force applied other than the force due to their own weight. The device has means of adapting itself to the holder which enables it to effect a movement of translation, and consists of two sides which press onto the longitudinal sides of the holder. Engagement of the slides in the slots of the holder is triggered by a 'slide' mechanism which is cyclically controlled by the slot walls of the holder.
