Small misalignments are taken up and a smooth action with no sticking or play results. The drawer (1) runs on rollers (4) fitted to a subframe (2) by means of bearers (5, 5a). One bearer (5) is shaped to fit the rollers, the other (5a) is flat. This takes up play. The subframe also carries other rollers (6, 7) which run each side of the drawer bearers (5, 5a). Rear rollers (8) are also fitted. A slide (3) is fixed to the metal cabinet and has its bearing surfaces shaped to fit the rollers (6, 7) running inside it. For a smoother action, rollers (4, 6, 7) are of different diameters. The first bearer has a curved section and the rollers have convex and concave edges.
