Heavy lorry gear box with epicycloidal planetary gear train, reduces number of elements to thirteen: five trains, three clutches and five brakes, thus, obtaining seventeen gears of which sixteen are forward, a neutral position and a high gear six times the low gear. The lead shaft relates to an overdrive which follows the multiple gear mechanism (at least one epicycloidal planetary gear train) which in turn follows an outgoing shaft related range doubling mechanism. The overdrive M constitutes the featured gear train T1 with satellites borne on an input shaft 1 integral housing b1, meshing on the one hand with a clutch F1 and brake B controlled remote wheel a' and on the other hand with a secondary wheel C1 leading to the multiple gear mechanism T etc.
