Osteosynthesis plate for femoral fracture surgery - has anchoring holes in ablong flat portion and widened blade

The plate has an oblong flat portion terminating in a widened blade for support on one of the femoral epiphyses. Multiple holes are formed in the blade and the oblong portion, to accommodate holding devices for the bone parts to be secured in place, i.e. the epiphyses and lengthwise bone portion of the femur. The oblong part can be of curved profile and the blade can be curved in the lengthwise direction so as to bear against the epiphysis, its thickness decreasing from the oblong portion at regular intervals, and those in the blade can be situated along the lengthwise axis and symmetrically on either side of it.
