Installation for mfr. of enamelled ceramic tiles comprises (a) plant for preparing slips and pastes of ceramics comprising a gridning mill, an agitation tank, a homogeniser, an automatically controlled pump and a filter press, (b) plant for preparation of powder of controlled humidity for pressing comprising a paste extruder, a drier, a grinder and a humidifier, (c) plant for compaction of tiles comprising a press and a die and a powder supply, (d) an enamelling plant and (e) a firing furnace with preheating, firing and cooling zones. Further plant for prepn. of the enamel may also be arranged in the installation. The formulae and the plant are mutually adaptable.
