Spangled textile coating method - plastics spangles are coated by using hot transfer with low pressure

A textile is coated with spangles or reflective platelets in the form of polyester or polyamide flakes with a metallised layer, with the coating layer applied by a thermal transfer. The plastic material withstands temperatures of 180 deg. without deformation; and the coating layer is in the form of an ink which vaporises when heated without harm to the fabric. The textile coated with the flakes is covered by the transfer, and they can be calendered at a suitable pressure and temperature without deformation of the coating.
