The invention relates to a tunnel greenhouse, supported by arches which are crossed giving increased strength in bad weather and in cases where greater structural strength is needed, e.g. for the protection of a large area of fruit trees. The arches are in half-sections and are joined by special connecting plates (3). A cable joins the connecting plates. The feet of the arch sections are anchored to stakes held in the soil by a split washer at their lower ends and having loops at their upper ends which are attached to the feet of the arches.
