The alloy contains 0.15-0.60% Bi to increase the short time strength and creep strength up to 1100 degrees F, and at the same time retain ductility after creep exposure. The alloy also contains 5.9-6.75% Al; 1.5-2.5% Sn; 0.5-2.0% Zr; 0.8-2.0% Mo; 0.07-0.18% Si; is not 0.12% O; is not 0.1% C; is not 0.1% N; bal. Ti. The improved properties are obtd. without decrease in metallurgical stability and the Bi interacts synergistically with the Si and Mo, the Si enhancing the short time strength and the Mo strengthening the alloy without off-setting the creep resistance.
