The mobile plate (2) is mounted on the frame (1) between two extreme positions determined by abutments (11a & 11b) fixed solidly to the frame. The plate is pivoted on the frame at the front extremity of the apparatus by means of a ball race (3), whilst the underside has castors bearing on the frame and a return spring fixed to the frame and to the plate. One castor (8a & 8b) is fixed under each side of the plate in an inclined position corresponding to the trajectory of the frame. The feet of the user are positioned by rubber abutments (16) on the plate and are held by straps (18).
