Oil-fired radiant heating stove has a flue gas shaft fast to the fuel container, and a backflow receiver consists of a cylindrical main part which is laterally introduced into the flue gas shaft and projects in beyond the shaft's midline, and which is closed by a cap at the end inside the shaft and has a receiver opening near the end cap, of cross section a tenth of the shaft's total cross section; with the total effective cross section of the backflow receiver lying within the shaft corresponding to the opening cross section of the receiving opening; and a backflow pipe connected on one side to the cylindrical main part and on the other to the fuel container. Preferably the backflow receiver is of thin-walled sheet steel. Combustion of the fuel is extraordinarily clean and a high heat delivery is ensured.
