High-temp. gas burner for cupolas - uses low-press. gas and permits partial replacement of coke by gas

A burner with a mixing chamber, provided with air and gas inlets, and a combustion chamber, both of tubular cross-section. The novelty is that there are two sets of air inlets, sepd. axially, in the mixing chamber, through which air under press. is fed in counter rotation, and an inlet for low press. gas adjacent to the first set of air inlets, the gas press. being some tens of millibars. The air is pref. fed tangentially into the mixing chamber.
