The apparatus uses a Wheatstone bridge, and has two probes, one of the grippable type, connected in the bridge branches, also a measuring dial scaled to show the ratios between temperatures detected by the probes. The probes can project from the apparatus housing in the form of antennae, and their resistance varies as a function of the temperature. The grippable probe can be part of a rigid extension of the housing, while the second probe is accommodated inside the latter, there being holes in this at the probe level. The fingertips of a patient can be applied to the active faces of the grippable probe, and the temperature differences can be expressed in psychometric indices.
