The chess practising arrangement has a punched tape with information about positioning of the chess figures on games played by famous masters, and a strip reader which checks the presence of a code on the tape and Electric contacts are open or closed and by means of lamps shining through the translucent chessboard indicates where the next move should be made. There is also a current conducting plate which is situated under the strip and a number of plug-switches with moving contacts and a solenoid coil which when energised moves the contacts against the conducting plate via the punched holes in the tape to complete a circuit. The strip is wound on a bobbin and is enclosed in a cassette and is moved forward with aid of protection on contact plate.
