Continuous mixer reactor - being tubular shell with static mixer tube elements

Mixer reactor consists of cylindrical shell with mixer tubes which serve to split and deflect the flow through the reactor. Flow from one area is deflected and deposited on the other side. A minimum of 8 such tubes is required, and these are arranged successively at 135 degrees to each other. This gives a total 6561 divisions and deflections after light passes. The length of the mixing tube should be approximately the shell diameter. The outer dia. of the tube is approx. 1/2 the inner shell dia. plus one or two wall thicknesses of the tube. The system gives excellent mixing even for visions mixes and suspensions while allowing heat transfer along the length of the reactor.
