Inscription bearing funerary stele - has two glass panes one frosted one plain and one inscribed and cavity contains silica gel

Inscription bearing funerary stele now has two parallel interspaced parallel aligned glass panes (5) in lieu of the original three; one of the glass panes is tempered and frosted and is mounted at the rear of the assembly, the other being clear glass and bearing the inscription of its inner face. Economy results with this design being of a permanent nature, ie bearing a family name, whereas the fore runner had a centre pane which could be removed for additional inscribing. Pref. the width of the space between the panes is maintained by a spacer bead and contains de-humidifying silica gel. The spacer frame is formed by corner plates inclined w.r.t. one another and fixed in position by adhesive between the profile exteriors and the glass panes.
