摘要
Pellets for blast furnaces are made by blending 98-60 wt. % iron ore with 2-40 wt. % of a mixture comprising 95-15 wt. % cement and 5-85 wt. % iron contg. powders 100 mesh, with addition of 9-20 wt. % water on the bases of the mixture. The iron-contg powder may be made by cuiting iron scrap, or from atomised Fe powder, reduced Fe powder or ferruginous scale and is pref. 300 mesh (Tailor). The cement may be Portland, pozzolan slag or aluminate cement, pref. 20-60 wt. %. The mixture is blended with 90-70% of an iron ore, 2-10% of the ore pref. has a grain size of 0.25-1mm. 5;-200 mesh cutting scrap, 10% alumina cement, 50% iron sand of +.25 mm an 6% of average size 0.19 mm and 35%-200 mesh sinter dust were blended and 12% water was added. The mixture was peletised and hardened for 1 month. The pellets had a crushing strength of 143.2 kg/pellet Fig. 3 shows the properties of the pellet (2) compared with standard Wayara pellet (1) and Grancold pellet (3).
