The door has upper (2) and lower (3) rectangular frames formed of metal U-sections or T-sections which are inforced by pairs (11, 12, 13, 14) of horizontal strips joined by diagonal braces (15, 16). The reinforcement carriers hinge pins (4 - 7) and door locking devices (35, 36, 38). The U or T sections retain the ends of the interfitting wooden slats which are inserted through openings (26, 27) in the ends of two horizontal sections (17, 23). The slats are prevented from falling from the openings by bolts which are passed through holes (28) in the sections (17, 23). The slats typically have H or Z sections which fit together.
