The equipment is used as a surgical aid during operations. It comprises a tube of silicone based elastomeric material with an overall length (D) of about 80 cm., with an external diameter of 7.9 mm and an internal diameter of 4.8 mm. Around the tube are fitted two small bulbs (A, B) of extensible silastic membrane, fused to the cylindrical tube. Each has a length (d1) of 25 mm and is separated from the other bulb by a distance (d) of 7 cm. The higher bulb (B) is at a distance (d1) of 2 cm. From the extremity of the probe. Each bulb is separately inflatable by the introduction of 8 to 10 cc. of water through feed channels (a, b). The side of the probe tube is perforated by two oval orifices (C, C1) each 15 mm. in length.
