In photographic dosimetry for radiotherapy, a blue film print is obtained from a black film exposed to Gamma or X-rays. The blue film print of correct format is then photographed in an orange negatoscope. These there steps are reduced by passing directly from the black film to the final print of correct format. The black film is prepared with the necessary inscriptions and a scale of blackness and is photographed with a blue film cut to the required format in the photographic equipment. To avoid halo effects during reproduction of the blue film the scale is surrounded by a dark band. The blackness and width of the notations are also increased. Also, the photographic equipment is inclined at a small angle.
