Hybrid variety of Cymbidium orchid - has yellow and red colouring and medium size and is early flowering

This new variety was produced by crossing Cymbidium KURUN with Cymbidium REDWOOD to obtain a hybrid which is early flowering, i.e. from mid-November to the end of December with peak production around 10th to 15th December. The variety has a vigorous and rapid growth and is a medium size. It produces many erect stems and many flowers which are regularly spaced with long petioles. The flowers are long lasting, with a good texture and an attractive colour. Petals and sepals are red suffused with yellow, labellum are bright yellow and dotted with blood red spots. The plant can be reproduced asexually by meristematic tissue culture.
